cookinggeek: (Oh really?)
Piper knew what day it was. She wondered if that had anything to do with the news she learned today. She was going to be a grandmother again, before she had any kids of her own. This time, it was Chris and Summer's news. One of those kids who showed up every once in awhile was finally going to exist in this time.

Yes, she knew, technically, Chris and Wyatt weren't hers, but she claimed them as such. So any of their kids were her grandchildren. The universe did not care that she was only 26.

Oh, and this was not an April Fool's joke. It had more to do with Fandom having a sense of humor. As usual.

She wondered if anyone else in her family had news to share. She was ready for whatever.

Piper was 25 today. Wasn't it just yesterday she was a senior at Fandom High and turning 18? Though that was actually a birthday she'd still like to forget.

Now she was older and wiser. At least she was wise enough to know it was okay to take a break from a busy work schedule and demon slaying to indulge in a gourmet cupcake, her birthday tradition. It certainly was less stressful than wedding cakes at the moment. Yeah, she was taking a break from that, too.

If there was any day to be stress free, this was it.

cookinggeek: (WTF?)
When Piper reappeared, she was still on the floor. The server she had just bumped into was about to drop a bunch of glass wear she'd been carrying. Just a few moments ago, or so it seemed to her, that same server had been engulfed in black clouds of nothing. It didn't take her long to realize what was happening. Somehow, everything had been corrected.

The sound of the shattering glass was welcome, though Piper quickly made sure to apologize for causing the whole thing in the first place. She even helped clean up the glass.

"I have to go," she announced once that was done. "Family emergency!"

With that, she ran back to the hotel as fast as she could, at the same time texting pretty much everyone she knew: At the hotel. Safe.

As soon as she arrived at the lobby, she was greeted by a cat who had anxiously been waiting for her. She smiled at Kit before lifting her up. "Hi, were you lost, too?"

She knew there were calls that needed to be made. There were voices she needed to hear.

[open for anyone who wants to get in touch with her!]
cookinggeek: (Worried)
Piper wasn't sure why she came into work today. No, she knew exactly why. Distraction. That's what it was. Wyatt had kept her informed about the latest distressing situation. People were missing. More importantly, Chris was missing. He technically wasn't her son, but she loved him as such anyway. So she spent practically the entire weekend consulting the Book of Shadows, searching the pages individually at least three times. It didn't matter, though. The searches provided no answers.

Maybe she should have stayed home... )

[NFB, NFI, ooc okay]

Thanksgiving at the Hyperion was a tradition by now. Piper and Veronica made sure of it as they once again took over the kitchen. They were cooking enough food to feed a small army.

Various appetizers were available to enjoy (some including bacon) while awaiting dinner. It was just a few hours away.

Today was Piper's birthday. She spent it by attending classes, one of which she had a test in. Not exactly the most fun birthday ever. Didn't help that it was Monday. She had cake, though. Cake made by her best friend. That made things better.

She was just going to ignore that reading assignment for awhile. She had better things to do on her birthday. Like harvesting crops at FarmVille and watching the Food Network.

When Piper returned home from classes, she was greeted by Veronica and a cake. Of all the ways to be greeted after a long day of classes, a cake was one of the best.

It was her birthday today and she was no longer a teenager. It wasn't as weird as she thought it would be.

[ooc: open for phone calls or visits if anyone so desires.]
cookinggeek: (Pensive)
Piper was pacing the apartment while waiting for her sons to show up. They had to talk to her about something important. Naturally, that made her worry just a bit. So there was pacing. It was either that or cleaning the apartment even though it didn't need to be.

[ooc: for the sons mostly, but anyone who is currently in Neptune is welcome.]
cookinggeek: (Concerned)
Piper loved the holiday season. Well, she loved everything except when radio stations play nothing but holiday music until the New Year. That was overkill. Still, she was really looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with people she cares about.

With that in mind, she sent an email to Chris and Wyatt, reminding them. When it bounced back to her, she tried sending it again. When that didn't work, she tried calling them both. She frowned when there was no sound on the other end. Not even a dial tone. Now she was concerned. She was concerned enough to try calling Anders, too. It was the same thing. Nothing.

"The hell?" she muttered to herself.

For some strange and inexplicable reason, Piper felt the urge to smack her eldest AU son upside the head.

Definitely weird.

[ooc: Establishy. I just couldn't resist. ;)]
cookinggeek: (Meh)
Piper did not want to get up in the morning. She really considered skipping classes today, but she had a pesky test in one of them. She didn't feel prepared for it and was currently stressing. She was also kind of fretting over an insect bite she seemed to have gotten at work the other day. She feared it had been a spider. Piper can handle demons and warlocks, but spiders? Not so much. At least it wasn't a gremlin.

She decided not to think about it any longer. Instead, she got in her car and made the long drive up to LA, stopping for coffee along the way.
cookinggeek: (Piper & Chris)
After the handwavey phone call from Chris and Wyatt last night asking to visit, Piper set to work cleaning the apartment. Or at least cleaning it more. She wanted to make sure the place was spotless. Sure, they were her sons from a different timeline in the future, but they were still family. She wanted everything to be perfect.

Too bad she didn't have time to bake anything. At least not yet.

Wherein Piper learns some of the truth and the boys break stuff... )

[ooc: Preplayed with [livejournal.com profile] blessed_twice and [livejournal.com profile] neurotic_witch who are visiting me later tonight with other FH players for my birthday, yay! *glees*]
